Terms and conditions

Please read this before posting or replying to a listing. Plain language, no surprises.

What this site is

Listoi.com is a noticeboard. Members publish listings; visitors read them and contact each other directly. That is the whole service. We are not a party to any deal made through the site.

What we do not do

We do not own, hold, inspect, test, verify, endorse, buy, sell, ship, insure or guarantee any item listed here. We do not check that a seller owns what they are offering, that a description is accurate, that a price is fair, or that either side will do what they promised.

Your responsibility

Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for verifying each other’s identity, the condition and legality of the item, the price, the payment method and the handover. Meet in a public place, inspect before you pay, and keep your own records. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it is.

Liability

We are not responsible for fraud, scams, counterfeit or stolen goods, non-delivery, damaged items, payment disputes, missing warranties, injury, or any direct or indirect loss arising from a listing or a transaction. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Obey your local law

You must comply with the laws of your country and local jurisdiction. Something legal to sell in one place may be illegal in another; the obligation to know the difference is yours.

What may not be listed

Illegal goods and services; drugs and drug paraphernalia; weapons and ammunition where prohibited; counterfeit or replica products; stolen property; hazardous or dangerous materials; live animals where prohibited; human remains or body parts; adult services or sexual content; hate speech, harassment or extremist material; personal data offered for sale; medicine and medical devices requiring a licence; recalled products; and anything else unlawful in the relevant jurisdiction.

Removal and suspension

We may remove any listing and suspend or close any account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected fraud, spam, repeated reports, or breach of these terms. We do not owe compensation for a removed listing.

Listings expire

Every listing comes down automatically after the period shown when it was published. We email a reminder beforehand so you can renew it. Expired listings are archived and then permanently deleted.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By publishing a listing you grant Listoi.com a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, cache, resize, display and distribute that content for as long as the listing is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups and moderation records. You confirm that you have the right to publish everything you upload.

Contacting other members

Contact details on a listing exist so that a genuine buyer or seller can get in touch about that item. Using them for marketing, bulk messaging, scraping or harassment is a breach of these terms.

Governing law and disputes

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
